Michael O. D. Brown Memorial Scholarship

The Michael O. D. Brown Memorial Scholarship is open to students pursuing all fields of study, but special consideration will be given to those enrolling in Social Justice, Performing Arts, and Trades programs. To honor Mike’s 30th birthday in 2026, scholarships will be awarded to 30 St. Louis-area high school seniors based on demonstrated academic achievement, financial need, and an expressed interest in enrolling into a post-secondary program in pursuit of a certification, associate’s, or bachelor’s degree.

This scholarship is not renewable. Previous scholarship recipients cannot re-apply.

Requirements

• Proof that you have applied and/or been accepted to a higher education program
• Proof of at least a 2.5 GPA, as shown on your most recent report card
• Contact to confirm community or volunteer service within the last year
• Attending a public high school in the City of St. Louis or St. Louis County, including district-operated and Special School District (SSD) technical high schools
